The Superman Behind Tiger Fitness

Bodybuilding Must Be Stopped?

By Marc Lobliner, CMO Tigerfitness.com

Professional bodybuilders are dying at a ridiculous rate. John Meadows, George Peterson, Shawn Rhoden, Cedric McMillan and many more we don’t even hear about. Apparently, we are doing something different and over the top that is causing this sudden increase in mortality in top bodybuilders, right?

Probably not.

The issue is timing, bad luck and stuff we don’t even know about. The drugs we take haven’t changed. Sure, there is insulin, hgh, these crazy peptides even I don’t understand, but the bread and butter, or better yet tren and eq has stayed the same. In fact, I’ll argue that coaches are more cognizant now about regular blood work and that oral steroids, taken by the handful in the “Golden Era,” are minimized which decreases the strain on the liver.

There are a couple of things going on. People die all the time, including local competitors and normal gym bros. Currently those dying are well known. We heard about Cedric, but would we hear about Cecil, a fictional local competitor in Arkansas? Nope.

We also had a novel virus and shot with potential cardiac effects on a small percentage of the population. Combine this risk with the fact that bodybuilders (probably) have enlarged hearts and are overweight, and you have a recipe for increased morbidity risk.

So what does this mean for you?

Bodybuilding is HEALTHY. Competing at a high level with steroids is an extreme sport with inherent risks. Like the X Games, going downhill on a skateboard is a huge risk. Likewise, bodybuilding and getting beyond huge with the help of exogenous hormones and having the extra weight stressing your body and heart might not kill you directly, but it sure as hell won’t aid in you living a long life.

Lift weights, perform cardio, stay lean (BEING FAT WILL KILL YOU) and eat healthy. If you decide to take steroids, do it under the direction of a qualified HRT or TRT doctor.

And take care of your insides! Don’t drink, don’t smoke and I highly recommend an organ and health support formula. Ambrosia Nektar is what I take and my company, Ambrosia, makes it. It contains 13 ingredients to support everything from liver to heart health in one insanely delicious formula.

Bodybuilding is alive and well, and every bodybuilder knows the risks inherent in competing. With coaches like Hany Rambod, a very health-conscious individual, and others working with these athletes, we are in a better spot than ever before.

Be safe, train hard and live your life to the fullest!
