Egg White Crystals

Best Egg White Protein

Egg white protein is the only ingredient, and one serving gives you 20 grams of white egg protein.

Bodybuilders love their egg whites, as they are a clean and cholesterol-free protein source that are a staple of our diets to help us build and carve our best physique, whether we compete on stage or present the best possible version of ourselves to the world. It turns out that bodybuilders and the fitness-conscious have been ahead of the curve for years when it comes to nutrition, and now the rest of the world is catching up.

A bodybuilder-friendly breakfast might include an omelet with one whole egg and six egg whites, which can be a somewhat messy prep if you are cracking eggs out of the carton. That culinary strategy is by no means half-baked; for years, researchers and nutrition experts have recommended restricting egg yolks and all other foods high in cholesterol to prevent heart attacks. New research demonstrates the value of consuming cholesterol-free foods such as 5% Egg White Crystalsfor better health, longevity and particularly for reducing the risk of death from cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Improve Long-term Health

A new study published in the prestigious journal Circulation found that whole eggs rich in cholesterol increase cardiovascular disease. Researchers analyzed 27,078 men in the Alpha-Tocopherol, Beta-Carotene Cancer Prevention (ATBC) Study and concluded: “Greater dietary cholesterol and egg consumption were associated with increased risk of overall and CVD mortality. Our findings support restricted consumption of dietary cholesterol as a means to improve long-term health and longevity.”

Real Eggs, No Cholesterol

Egg White Crystals are real eggs – a real food supplement that is convenient to incorporate into your daily nutrition plan. They’ve had the water gently evaporated, which leaves pure egg white crystals. Add water, and you’ve got fluffy egg whites. Use Egg White Crystals the same way you use regular eggs. Or, mix them into your shake or smoothie – Egg White Crystals dissolve easily. You can bake with them and cook with them. Add them to any food or shake. Egg white protein is the only ingredient, and one serving gives you 20 grams of egg white protein.

Better Than Egg White Powder & Whey

Egg whites have higher BV, PER and NPU than many other types of protein. Plus, the Egg White Crystals formula meets 5% Nutrition founder Rich Piana’s requirement of getting most of your protein from real food first.

Egg White Crystals have a high net protein utilization (NPU) rating that’s comparable to whey. They also have a comparable BV, and a higher PER. And while Egg White Crystals and powdered egg whites are both high in available protein, Egg White Crystals are produced from gently evaporating the water at lower temperatures, making them taste better as well as mix better than powdered egg whites. With 5% Nutrition Egg White Crystals, you can experience the benefits of real food protein sourced from egg whites at home or on the go.

TMAO in Egg Yolks: the Real Danger?

When it comes to increasing cardiovascular disease, evidence suggests that cholesterol may not be the only heavy in the act – and egg yolks may increase heart attack risk by a different mechanism.

Egg yolks contain lecithin and choline, two chemicals that are converted by some of the more than 100 trillion bacteria in your colon into a chemical called trimethylamine (TMA), which is absorbed into your bloodstream and travels to your liver where it is converted to trimethylamine oxide (TMAO). TMAO can damage blood vessels to start plaques forming in your arteries, can increase clotting that causes heart attacks and strokes (Cell, March 24, 2016;165(1):111-124) and can damage DNA in your cells to increase cancer risk. A review of 17 clinical studies covering 26,167 subjects, followed for an average 4.3 years, found that lowering blood levels of TMAO helps to prevent heart attacks, and high blood levels of TMAO are associated with an almost double increased risk for an early death.
