Johnny Jackson brought a combination of mass, symmetry, and conditioning into Atlantic City and for his efforts he was rewarded with unanimous first place votes at the 2nd Annual IFBB Atlantic City Pro show. After placing 3rd at the IFBB Montreal Pro Classic 1 week earlier, Jackson avenged the loss by besting last week's champion, Darrem Charles. This win gives Jackson tremendous momentum going into the Mr. Olympia contest in 2 weeks time.

Darrem Charles finished 2nd tonight in a tough fought battle that came down to one simple question-who had more muscle? While Darrem lost tonight's war, he still managed to dazzle the crowd with his always entertaining posing routine and his freaky, separated, muscle.

Finishing 3rd tonight was the "Giant Killer" himself, David Henry, who redeemed his poor showing earlier this year at the IRONMAN Pro. On this night, Henry showed up "sliced and diced" and left little doubt in the judge's mind that he did indeed deserve the 3rd and final Olympia-qualifying spot of the night.

4th place went to a very disappointed Melvin Anthony who was making his return to the stage after suffering a minor surgery in the offseason. According to the score cards, the "Marvelous" one was actually tied for 1st place with Johnny Jackson after the prejudging but somehow managed to lose the show in his "bread and butter" rounds-the routine and the posedown! In defense of the judges scores, Melvin didn't show off his usual show-stopping moves during his posing routine (he may have been saving them for the Olympia), and he left the audience with somewhat of an empty feeling. I guess the lesson to be learned is, "Never take a Pro Bodybuilding show too lightly!"

Rounding out the top 5 was a much-improved Craig Richardson who showed up with cuts and striations that most in attendance never even knew he had. Richardson raised his physique to a higher level on this night and had he decided to compete at last week's Montreal Pro in the same condition, we might have been seeing him at the Mr Olympia in 2 week. When asked about his placement after the show, the always humble Richardson explained, "I was very happy with my showing tonight; and I promise that next year the fans and judges will see a bigger, harder, Craig Richardson!"

Chris Cormier and Quincy Taylor finshed in 6th and 7th place, respectively.
