Dexter Jackson wins Australian Pro Grand Prix BodybuildingWhile it was widely known that many from the 2013 Arnold Classic line-up were making their way to Australia for the Australian Pro, it was not expected that Dexter Jackson, Candice Keene, and India Paulino would all three score their second IFBB Pro win in two weeks.

Bodybuilding

Dexter was the clear favorite from the moment he walked on to the stage. He was ripped and dry from head to toe. His condition did not appear to have suffered any from the long plane ride over. And while he tied Flex Wheeler’s record of four Arnold Classic titles last week in Ohio, he beat one of them in Australia. Last week Dexter and Flex were tied with 17 career wins. The win in Australia bumped Dexter up to 18. He’s now on the road to tying Kevin Levrone at 20!

Toney Freeman bested Ben Pakulski this week and took second place. Ben actually appeared to be tighter this week, as did fourth placer Ed Nunn. Ed appears poised to make some forward momentum this contest season. Ivan Sadek from Australia made his home crowd proud when it was announced that he rounded out the top five with a 5th place finish.

Figure

With her second win in two weeks, and one of this being the Figure International title, Candice Keene has positioned herself as the new Queen of Figure. All eyes were on this contest to see if last week was a fluke, or this really was a changing of the guard. Keene did not miss a beat, coming in looking just a sharp and poised as she did in Ohio. She now emerges as the woman to beat.

Another Candice did well in Australia as well. Candice Lewis nabbed the third place spot which relegated Mallory Halderman and Rinnah Schmid to fourth and fifth respectively. After five pro wins in 2012, it’s no wonder that many expect her to emerge as the face of figure in the not-so-distant future.

Bikini

While pictures tell you the race in bikini is close, India Paulino has once again used her superior stage presence to secure another victory! She owns any stage she walks across. This win will not be her last this year.

Nagrani moved up to second while Nathalia Melo moved down to third. There is nothing wrong with Melo’s physique. She’s a beautiful girl. But should she continue to get leaner and harder, she’ll need to move over to figure. Pollianna Moss came in looking great and was rewarded with fourth place for her efforts. Don’t be surprised if we see her win in New Zealnad next week. She’s on track. Australian Rhiannon Harris rounded out the top five.

With that, the 2013 is in full swing! You can find complete photos and results from the 2013 Australian Pro here CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS & RESULTS
