Anthonell Champagnie captured the heavyweight and overall title at the NPC Eastern USA Bodybuilding Championships.  His only competition to speak of was last week's NPC East Coast overall champ, Sean Harris.  Despite the aesthetically pleasing physique of Harris, Anthonell's sheer muscle size, density, and conditioning were too much to overcome.

Scott Strack took the Masters Overall title; while Dawn Butterfield swept the Fitness Overall with an extremely creative routine that featured her coming out as an old lady in a walker and then transforming into a gymnastics diva.

In the women's bodybuilding competition, Elena Seiple-- last year's NPC Nationals light heavyweight 3rd place finisher easily swept the middleweight and overall title.  Next week, she'll take her gifted physique to South Beach to see how she matches up against the country's best light heavyweights.  Her greatest hopes are to bring home that first place trophy and ever elusive pro card.

In the figure division Jennifer Hernandez easily won the tall class but was challenged by middle height class winner, Veronica Ruth (last week's NPC East Coast champion) for the overall title.  The scorecards showed a tie score after the judges votes were cast and a tie-breaker was necessary to determine to overall winner.  On this night, Jen Hernandez emerged victorious.
