_m2x1634_thumbnailVictor Martinez continues his domination of the Pro Ranks by winning the Arnold Classic with perfect 1st Place scores; beating the likes of Dexter Jackson, Toney Freeman, Gustavo Badell and Phil Heath.  Victor set the proverbial bodybuilding bar another notch higher in taking home his first Arnold Classic Championship.  Let's not forget to mention the $130,000 prize money, the one of a kind Arnold timepeice, and the night's Most Muscular Man award!

Dexter Jackson, once again, lived up to his pseudonym, THE BLADE, by coming into the show sliced and diced to shreds.  And although this might have been the best Dexter's looked in his entire career, it still wasn't good enough to overcome Victor's incredible structure.  Dexter should be commended for pulling out all the stop in this fiercely fought battle.

Third Place went to the "X-man" Toney Freeman.  Many in attendance thought this comic book freak should have taken the entire show.  In my humble opinion, if Toney manages to add another 10lbs to his huge frame, he'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with later in the year at Olympia time.

Forth Place fell squarely in the lap of Puerto Rico's Gustavo Badell.  The Freakin' Rican showed up with mass, symmetry, and excellent conditioing; however, in this tough field, 4th was all he could manage.  I felt that if Gustavo would have been a tad harder in the glute/hamstring area, he may have moved up a place or two.  With his compact physique, it's imperitive that he could in sliced to the bone.

Fifth Place was secured by Phi "The Gift" Heath.  While expectations were extremely high for this young man, he did his homework and showed up with striated glutes and Pro caliber presentation.  Phil's one problem is that he's young and he still lacks the thick muscularity and size to stand with the best of the IFBB.  Give this kid a few more years and everyone better watch out!

Silvio Samuel edged out Branch Warren (in a somewhat controversial decision) for sixth place and the final Mr. Olympia qualification.  Silvio, while lacking in quad detail, came in ripped to the bone.  His freaky structure seemed to have swayed the judges in his favor and propelled him into the top 6 finalists.  Great job Silvio!

All in all this year's Arnold Classic was a huge success and Team MD would like to congratulate our Top 4 placers at this year's contest:  Victor Martinez, Dexter Jackson, Toney Freeman, and Gustavo Badell.  See you next year!
