2016 BCABBA Iron Ore Classic Overall Winner

With the expansion of Tier 1 (no prequalification) events in British Columbia in recent years, smaller shows have sprung up around the Province. With Year 2 under its belt, the Iron Ore Classic in Prince George is a perfect example of one with a mostly local flavor, which as a whole not on the competitive level being showcased on MD Canada, BUT with the odd standout physique who DOES have a realistic shot at doing well at the next level. Overall Bikini Open Champion Kendall Kershaw fits that description to a tee. Having competed the previous year placing somewhere in the middle of the pack, the "before" and "after" comparison makes quite a statement!

A year of hard training later and under fellow Prince George resident and coach Tiffany Breck (@tiffbreck on IG), Kendall was pretty much in a class by herself in 2016. Approached covering this show with no particular expectations, but as it happened, photographed Tiffany (who wasn't competing at this particular show) on the preceding Thursday. Could not have worked out better, as Kendall stopped by Gold's Gym on Sunday to shoot the equivalent of "a roll of film". Looking forward to Round 2 as she tackles BC Provincials in July of 2017 and indicating competing at the NPC Empire Classic! At only 19 years of age, a very promising future in the Fitness Industry.

In her own words "At 17 years old and with Jillian Micheals' banging physique in mind, I began my quest for gains. Just two years later, I was thrilled to have won overall Bikini Champ in my hometown. With the 2017 competitive year fast approaching, I look forward to furthering my career as well as becoming more involved with helping others smash their goals, too! As for the life I live in between the stage shots, I practice meditation and even proper breathing techniques every chance I get. I strongly believe that above all else, wellness is the foundation of fitness."
