I had a great time at the Arnold as always. The expo was extremely busy, which I take as a good sign that the industry is growing. I spent a few hours at the Twinlab booth, and the remainder of the time at the CJ's Elite booth. This was my last time working for Twinlab, as my contract is expiring.

I had the honor of handing my good friend Tanji Johnson her 5th place award on Friday night at the Fitness Internationals finals. This was the second time I got to hand her an award on that stage. Saturday night I was given the opportunity to hand the Most Entertaining Poser award to Branch. Branch seemed quite shocked to be receiving that shortly after receiving the Most Muscular Award for the 6th year in a row.

All-in-all, the show went very well. As always, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the judging. That’s to be expected. Many fans have their favorite, which can come with a bit of a biased opinion. I will say that I am a big fan of Dennis and Evan and was hoping that one of them could dethrone Branch. In the end, Branch looked good enough to sway my vote to him. This top three was a very tough decision. The pictures seem to tell a different story, which is where the controversy originates from. In person, the placings for the men were pretty much spot on in my opinion.

Following the finals I had a bit of a scare. On the freeway back to my hotel, I was nearly hit by a drunk driver. I’m assuming she was drunk because she would pass out, and then wake up again. She passed out at the wheel doing 70mph and swerved over several lanes. I made the decision to dial 911 and give the operator her location and a description of the vehicle. Hopefully, the police were able to get her stopped before she seriously injured or killed someone. I did not hear back from the police, so I have no idea of the outcome of that situation. I can only hope that no one was hurt.

Other than that, I had a great time, and I’m already looking forward to next year!
