The Heart of Bodybuilding

Support The PinkMuscleFest

pink2The first annual NPC Supplement Superstores PINKMuscleFEST will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in St. Charles, Missouri at the St. Charles Convention Center.  The event will feature Teen, Masters, Novice and Open (National Qualifying) Divisions in Wheelchair, Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure and Bikini categories. The event is being promoted by bodybuilding legends Chad Nicholls and his wife, four-time Ms. Olympia, Kim Chizevsky-Nicholls.

PINKMuscleFEST is a very unique NPC event as it is also a benefit for breast cancer awareness and research.  The event was created as a way to honor Chad’s mother, Wanda, who was diagnosed with cancer nine years ago and told at the time she had only

three to six months to live. But with a supremely positive attitude backed by the support of her family and medical practitioners she bravely fought on for nine good years of life before succumbing to the effect of the illness earlier this year. Wanda’s birthday is in October, which also happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Chad and Kim say, “Our goal is not only to raise donations for charity (this year it is the National Breast Cancer Foundation) - but for PINKMuscleFEST to develop into a special event where people can gather to share their stories, honor and remember loved ones, support those who are currently fighting and/or celebrate those who have won their battle!”

Each year PINKMuscleFEST we will give to a different breast cancer charity and for this inaugural event Kim and Chad have lined up a Hall of Fame guest list, with the iconic Lee Haney and Lenda Murray – both eight time Olympia champs –being honored guests. In addition IFBB pro and former 202 Mr. Olympia Champion, David Henry will guest pose, plus IFBB pro and two-time Arnold Classic Figure Champion Candice Keene will be there on behalf of ALLMAX, while 2013 overall Nationals champion and IFBB Pro Kevin Jordan will be appearing at the show.

Chad adds, “We will showcase a silent auction featuring many fantastic items donated for the cause by many IFBB industry stars and we have numerous vendors joining the event this year.  Our hope is to expand this event over the years into a weekend long fitness festival dedicated to cancer awareness and research. Cancer is such an insidious illness and all of us have family or friends, who have had to deal with its consequences. Only by ongoing research will this disease ever be conquered so that lives are saved and loved ones spared the anguish that cancer brings.”
