Next MD Cover: 2x Classic Physique Champion Breon Ansley

Top professional bodybuilders, like two-time (2017 and 2018) Classic Physique Olympia champion and Arnold Classic Physique Champion (2018) champion Breon Ansley, work hard for years to build bigger muscles, but they still need to burn away the fat to reveal their true shape and definition. Without fine cuts and details, even a diamond is just a lumpy rock. Unless you’re a genetic marvel like Dexter Jackson who rarely does cardio, sooner or later you have to switch gears to get ripped to shreds.

Breon Ansley has taken the art of getting ripped to shreds to an entirely new level. He’s been crowned best in the world twice due in part to the intricate etches, grooves, and striations that make it appear he was chiseled out of granite. With spring right around the corner and summer not far behind, Muscular Development asked Breon to give us his very best advice for getting ripped to shreds in “Classic Cuts! 2X Classic Physique Olympia Champion Breon Ansley Gives You His Best Fat-Loss Tips.

Breon isn’t the only bodybuilder giving advice on getting ripped. MD’s Ron Harris provides a comprehensive plan in “Rip It Up!Your 8-Week Plan to Show Off Shreds by Summer.” Ron covers it all: nutrition, cookie-cutter diets, HIIT cardio. Once you are fully committed, everything else falls into place. All you need from that point on are a solid, structured plan that you will execute— and MD gives you that plan.

Arash Rahbar has been one of the best Classic Physique pros in the world since the division’s inception in 2016, the year he won two pro shows and finished runner-up at the Olympia to Danny Hester. He was also an even closer second place to current O champ Breon Ansley at the debut of Classic Physique at the 2018 Arnold Classic. Arash chose to sit out the 2019 Arnold. In “Stealth Mode! Arash Rahbar Is Flying Under the Radar to Capture the Classic Physique Olympia Title,” the Dymatize athlete reveals it’s all part of his master plan to nab the Olympia title this September.

Truly thick backs are a rarity, and watching a lot of gym rats shuffling through a few sets of lat pulldowns and cable rows and calling it a day explains why. You don’t get that density without a ton of rows. Whether or not you ever aspire to be a pro bodybuilder or even compete, you should want to look as rugged and jacked from the back as you do from the front. Follow the advice in “Back Tactics: 9 Secrets to Unlock Insane Growth” and your back will have no choice but to grow.

When Roelly Winklaar won the 2009 Arnold Amateur in Ohio, he made quite an impact. The man was built like a tank, with thick, round muscle bellies and some of the craziest shoulders and triceps since Kevone Levrone. As the years went by, Roelly refined his physique and steadily climbed the pro ranks, placing third at the 2018 Mr. Olympia with eight pro wins to his credit. Roelly wasn’t his best and disappointed his fans at the 2019 Arnold Classic. Don’t count him out as the top challenger to Shawn Rhoden at this year’s Mr. Olympia! It is impossible to deny that Roelly has all the tools to be the best in the world: mass, shape, structure, balance and condition. Learn more in “Roelly on the Rise!Is the Dutch Beast on an Unstoppable Path to the Very Top?

Lauralie Chapados was runner-up at the 2018 Bikini Olympia. Now the GAT Sport athlete is looking ahead to 2019, declaring: “Finding the winner can come down to small details like jewelry or the color of your suit and how they complement your physique or don’t. Right now, Angelica Teixeira is the standard for a Bikini champion. I hope to be that one day soon.” Read more in “Lauralie Chapados: Second in Command.
