50th Mr. Olympia Commemorative Interview

With Peter McGough

OLYMPIA14mcgough interviewPeter starts with a re-cap of every Mr. Olympia champion and briefly sums up their physical attributes (symmetry/mass) along with characteristics of their rise to the top (Jay fighting his way through the Ronnie era).

Then he talks about the "Olympia Experience" for him. Seeing everyone in the industry, meeting up with past champions and how the Olympia has grown from only men's bodybuilding in 1965 (Larry Scott receiving a crown with no cash prize) to today including 8 Olympia classes and $1.1 million in prize money and now over 1000 booths at the expo.

Finally, when asked for his most memorable Olympia moment, he offered the entire year of 1988. He sums up the months leading up to the Olympia, the contestants and the show including the presentations from the pros in that era.
